We are seeking a highly organized and customer-centric individual to join our team. As the Sales and Admin Officer, you will be the backbone of our daily operations and the primary point of contact for both our riders (passengers) and driver partners. You will ensure a smooth onboarding process for new drivers, manage financial reconciliations for manual rides, and handle real-time queries across various platforms. The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy problem-solver with a passion for sales and a knack for administration.
Key Responsibilities
Driver Management & Onboarding:
- Conduct thorough verification of driver documents and background checks to ensure compliance with Toda’s safety and quality standards .
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new drivers, including app setup and training on platform features.
- Approve driver accounts and handle reactivations or suspensions as per company policy.
Financial Administration:
- Process and reconcile payments to drivers for "manual rides" (offline bookings requested via office calls) accurately and on time.
- Maintain meticulous records of all transactions and driver earnings.
- Assist in investigating and resolving any payment discrepancies reported by drivers.
Customer & Driver Support (Frontline Contact):
- Act as the primary contact point for all customer and driver queries.
- Manage and respond to inquiries via WhatsApp and all social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) promptly and professionally .
- Troubleshoot app-related issues for both riders and drivers, escalating technical faults to the relevant team.
Sales & Business Development:
- Proactively make call outs (cold calling/warm calling) to sales leads to recruit new drivers and onboard corporate clients.
- Promote Toda’s services and value proposition to potential partners.
Marketing Support:
- Gather feedback from customers and drivers regarding their experience and pain points.
- Relay this market intelligence to the marketing team to assist in generating relevant digital marketing content and campaigns .
Reporting & Administration:
- Draw up daily and weekly performance reports on driver activity, customer complaints, and sales conversions.
- Perform any other administrative duties as assigned by the Platform Operations Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the Harare office
Experience:
- Entry-level position: 2 years of work experience. Recent graduates with a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in a customer service, sales, or admin role within a tech or startup environment is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Tech Savvy: Must be comfortable using smartphones, apps, and computers. Familiarity with the Toda Rider app is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in local languages (Shona/Ndebele) is highly advantageous.
- Customer Service: A patient, empathetic, and solutionoriented approach to handling complaints.
- Financial Acumen: Basic math skills and attention to detail for payment processing.
- Social Media Proficiency: Active user of WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram; understanding of how businesses use these tools.
- Sales Mindset: Confidence to make phone calls and convince leads to join the platform.
- Organized: Ability to multitask and prioritize duties in a fastpaced environment.
